The Entrepreneur is bursting with ideas. She wants to get out there and get things done. She wants to change the world.
However, she requires seed capital to validate her ideas and grow, but raising funds is a daunting process. There are trust issues aplenty.
If only there were a system to help her raise funds and prove that she is not squandering the funds...
The Investor is a busy man. His passion is investing in startups. He knows what he wants in a startup.
But there are so many startups! Which startups can he trust to grow? Which ones suits his investment style? Which ones will bring him the highest return on investment?
If only there were a system to objectively tell him which startups out are gaining traction...
An idea's true value is determined by its market response. edgeyo helps startups acquire social proof and validation for their ideas.
With short iteration rounds (one month per round), startups are put in situations that will quickly help them validate their hypotheses, and allow them to quickly respond to the market.
This also serves as a good signal to investors - startups that are able to respond to the market quickly are typical signals of good businesses.
Everything costs money. Entrepreneurs need funding to do market research, build prototypes or explore execution options. Nothing is as simple as it appears; gaining insight on customers, competitors and the legal environment takes time and money. Here at edgeyo we want to help startups get the capital they need.
A startup can quickly burn through seed money — and yet without risk, there is no reward. edgeyo aims to align investment with performance; all while minimizing risk. By keeping funding lean, investors can leverage available funds while allowing startups to validate, iterate and improve upon their business model.

Create a prospectus detailing the problem you're trying to solve, your solution, the amount you are raising, risk, etc - details of your startup, essentially.
Investors pledge a minimum of $50 every month. This pledge will be distributed to the matching startups at the end of the iteration period
Every day you will be given a list of startups to rank. Peruse their profiles and rank them based on how good you think they are performing.
Every day you will be given a list of investors. Peruse their profiles and rank them based on how much you desire them to invest in your startup.
Update your startup's progress! Tell the investors what you have built, measured and learned.
At the end of every day, you will be presented with an algorithmically derived match.
If you're an investor, you will be presented with the best match of the day, and vice versa if you're an entrepreneur.
At the same time, a daily global rank will be generated for startups and investors - you'll be able to keep track of who's hot and who's not.
At the end of an iteration period, you will be presented with your final (top 5) matches.
If you're an investor, you will be presented with the best startup that matches your preferences throughout the iteration period, and vice versa if you're an entrepreneur.
You may choose to distribute the funds you have pledged earlier in the iteration cycle however you like to the top 5 matches.
You may choose to either accept or deny receiving funding from any of your top 5 matches if you are chosen to be funded.
All the monies are distributed. It is implicit upon acceptance of the funds that a contract has occured between investor and startup.
